Staff Mechanical Engineer | Lockheed Martin
Lockheed Martin's Syracuse Facility is an engineering hub for the U.S. Navy's Mk48 advanced heavyweight torpedo. The program delivers the design, integration, manufacture, and test of the guidance and control section and warhead electronics system, while continually inserting new technologies to keep the weapon at the cutting edge.

The ideal candidate is a licensed or graduate-level Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in design, analysis, and manufacturing. Proven leader who can drive multidisciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders. Skilled in 3-D CAD (e.g., Creo, CATIA, SolidWorks), FEA, thermal and vibration analysis tools. Experienced in root-cause problem solving, DFMEA/FRACAS processes, and configuration management. Excellent communicator, comfortable presenting technical information to customers and senior leadership. Willing to work on-site in Syracuse, NY, with up to 10% travel to customer sites, supplier facilities, or test events.
