Position Summary As a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department and deliver more of what our members love, for less. You will collaborate with other associates to ensure the club meets member expectations. Responsibilities Be a Team Member – collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate associates on tools, tasks, resources, mentor new technicians, communicate and develop interpersonal skills for safe and efficient customer service. Be an Expert – demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality; demonstrate expertise in point‑of‑sale systems and in‑person selling techniques. Be a Techie – leverage digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve the service experience, elevate associate engagement, and use handheld technology and systems to make business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, and training. Be an Owner – communicate equipment, tools and supplies needs to the TBC Lead, track returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, maintain accurate inventory, audit safety and compliance standards, report complaints and hazards, and complete required documentation. Be a Talent Ambassador – act as a brand advocate, model high‑quality service and products, influence and inspire others, and assist in training team members. Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity; implement related action plans and apply the Open Door Policy. Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines and expectations; communicate progress and recommend ways to improve. Minimum Qualifications Valid state‑issued driver’s license. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must successfully complete all required job trainings and assessments within the assigned time frame. Preferred Qualifications Auto service industry experience. Retail experience. Compensation Hourly wage range: $21.00 to $29.00. Actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation: premiums of $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour may be paid based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed.
