Renewal Specialist (95% REMOTE) in Chicago, IL

Job Description

Our client a leader in the IT industry is seeking to hire a Renewal Support Specialist. This position is 95% REMOTE , but you must live close enough to downtown Chicago to attend 1-2 trainings a month. This role starts as a 3-month contract but can lead to extensions and permanent roles for top performers. You will work from 8am-5pm Monday - Friday and this position pays $26-$28.00/hour based on relevant experience.

The Renewal Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the renewal process by quoting transactional renewals and collaborating with sales teams to ensure timely and accurate renewal opportunities. This role focuses on existing contracts and works closely with partner contacts and internal stakeholders to prepare quotes and respond to inquiries. The Specialist contributes to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency through attention to detail and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Quote transactional renewals and respond to inquiries from sales regarding expiring contracts.

• Consult with sales to prepare renewal quotes and identify upselling opportunities.
\n
• Build and maintain business relationships with sales teams and partner contacts.
\n
• Attend partner-specific and renewal-related training sessions.
\n
• Collaborate with Product Specialists and partners to support sales efforts.
\n
• Maintain responsiveness to sales and customer needs.
\n
• Participate in external training and conferences (with manager approval).
\n
• Support renewal operations by managing quote preparation and pipeline tracking.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of experience in Renewals, Quotes, Sales Support or a related field OR 5 years of experience in Renewals, Quotes, Sales Support, OR a related field without a degree.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
\n
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
\n
• Time management and organizational skills.
\n
• Ability to prioritize work under pressure and frequent interruptions.
\n
• Ability to understand and apply written and verbal instructions.
\n
• Experience in technology sales support (preferred).
