JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective The Admissions Specialist provides admissions oversight to the residential facilities and recovery homes, ensuring census expectations are met per contractual agreements. The Admissions Specialist supports patients and the treatment staff and helps to build relationships with referral sources and community partners.

JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective The Admissions Specialist provides admissions oversight to the residential facilities and recovery homes, ensuring census expectations are met per contractual agreements. The Admissions Specialist supports patients and the treatment staff and helps to build relationships with referral sources and community partners.
Essential Functions
- Schedule and manage the admissions process for all residential treatment and recovery home admissions in both Sheridan & Cheyenne.
- Schedule transportation for patient admission and discharges with referral sources.
- Communicate patient information with the Treatment Team.
- Ensure incoming patients complete all necessary documentation.
- Assist patients in applying for Medicaid/Behavioral Health coverage as well as enrolling in Medical insurance through the Health Market Place.
- Collaborate with the billing department regarding benefit assignments.
- Enter data utilizing various Electronic Health Record systems.
- Assist patients in completing discharge addiction severity index (ASI) and any discharge documents.
- Provide program information to internal/external inquiries.
- Maintain waitlists for residential treatment and recovery homes.
- Answer telephone calls and greet visitors.
- Serve as backup coverage for Behavioral Health Technicians.
- Effective communicator, both written and oral.
- Calm under pressure and crisis.
- Empathetic and able to relate to staff and patients.
- Ability to stay organized and meet tight deadlines with competing priorities.
- Ability to interact with persons from a variety of social, economic, educational, and cultural backgrounds.
- Continuous demonstration of behaviors aligned with a posture of servant leadership and our cultural values.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years experience in customer service, human service, or related field.
- Proficient in using a variety of computer software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Suite and databases.
- Previous Human Services training and experience in the addiction field.
