Shipping Associate II

We strive to recruit the best talent in the industry and give employees opportunities for continuing education and training to help them advance in their careers.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsure completion of all shipping documents including: bill of ladings, packing slips, shipping labels, Export documents, processing of shipments through ERP system, and other related processesDetermine the most economical modes of transportation such as LTL, volume LTL, truckload, partial truckload; maximize shipping efficiency through consolidation of shipmentsWork with Customer Service department to resolve late orders, shortages, expedited requests, claims for freight damage, and freight estimates; resolve shipping delays due to customer requestsEnsure accuracy and completeness of all shipments by working with manufacturing when shortages or discrepancies are discoveredMaintain accurate and updated database of shipping weightsProvide indirect supervision to shipping staff, including delegating workload and dispatch list assignments; provide training and mentoring to entry-level shipping associatesLead weekly shipping staff meetingsComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.Minimum QualificationsNo minimum education required2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environmentAbility to use basic computer software such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing applications, email, Internet, etc.Solid verbal and written communicationThe pay range for this position is $18.41 - $28.62/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
