Job Title Supply Management Specialist (Hybrid) Client Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company Duration 1 year with possible extension Location Dubuque, IA 52001 Schedule Hybrid schedule: 4 days/week onsite. Schedule subject to change based on team needs. Major Purpose Provides entry level sourcing, Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) support, including development and execution/enforcement of strategies and contracts for commodities of lower value and less complexity. Supports cost models, make vs. buy studies, spend analysis, invoice issue resolution and other data analyses. Works with Strategic Sourcing to address chronic supplier performance issues and validate suppliers during early supplier selection as part of EPDP. Uses Achieving Excellence process to manage supplier performance. Exercise of discretion and independent judgment, reviewed periodically. Major Duties Execute planning activities within a low‑complexity supply chain, affecting own organization/unit. Carry out supplier‑management activities either to support others or fulfill role requirements. Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods and formats; work independently. Find effective ways to respond to routine functional inquiries; follow procedures and precedents. Conduct complex analyses, quality tests and inspections requiring high independent judgment. Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area and support continuous improvement. Develop knowledge of organization policies, procedures and regulatory codes; obtain authorization for exceptions. Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers. Produce, update and provide best‑practice support on complex Microsoft documents, databases and other departmental systems. Fully remote candidates will not be considered. Manager prefers local candidates. First shift position – flexible start/end time within 7:00 am–5:00 pm. Some offsite travel within Dubuque may be needed (all travel within 10 miles of the facility). Position Description Execute the Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) as a Supply Management Specialist for the Aftermarket & Customer Support Procurement team in Dubuque, IA. Work on part sourcing activities, analyze quotations and select suppliers based on quality, cost, process capability, lead time and supplier stability. Participate in implementation of resourcing activities. Expedite parts/orders from suppliers as necessary. Support the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process to implement design changes and product improvements timely and cost‑effectively. Resolve shipping, receiving, invoicing and payment problems to ensure prompt and accurate supplier payments. Drive continuous improvement with identified suppliers in terms of performance and lowest total cost using the Achieving Excellence process. Define, resolve, and provide permanent solutions to supplier performance issues with assistance from other functional representatives, managing day‑to‑day supplier issues and ensuring proper communication. Position Requirements Excellent communication skills Problem‑solving aptitude Understanding of the order fulfillment process Experience with negotiation and conflict resolution Knowledge of supply management and manufacturing processes/operations Proficiency in MS Office Work experience in a team environment What Sets You Apart Experience in supplier integration, strategic supply management, supplier development, module supply management, scheduling, forecasting, logistics, etc. Experience working within the SAP business management system. Experience with Business Objects and Business Warehouse reporting systems. Buyer/Purchasing experience with external suppliers. Preferred Education Bachelor’s degree in Business/Management, Supply Management/Logistics, Accounting/Finance, or Engineering/Technology disciplines. Equivalent experience in related field acceptable. Recent college graduates with a degree in Supply Management/Logistics considered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
