We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) in Kansas City, MO. The Medical-Surgical unit cares for adult patients with a variety of medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurological conditions.

This role offers the opportunity to care for post-surgical patients, including general, urology, vascular, neuro, orthopedic, and nephrology patients in a Level I Trauma facility .

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Provide direct nursing care within the RN scope of practice.
• Care for adult medical-surgical and post-surgical patients.
• Monitor patients and recognize changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Supervise and collaborate with non-licensed nursing staff.
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow hospital policies, standards of care, and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required.
• Previous acute care experience does not need to be recent.
• ADN or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of practice or an active Compact license.
• Current BLS certification required upon hire.
• Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills.
