Job Opportunity – PACU Registered Nurse (Night Shift) – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 2:1 patient ratio. Includes weekend and holiday coverage. 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. No call required at this time.

Highlights:

• Work in a 20-bed PACU unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Phase I PACU experience with diverse case mix including cardiac, neuro, ortho, general surgery, bariatrics, and more
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, lift teams, and pharmacy
• 36-hour paid orientation to ensure smooth transition
• First-time travelers welcome with minimum 2 years of experience
• Trauma Level I experience preferred

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Charting system experience required
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Proficiency in multiple PACU competencies including conscious sedation, dysrhythmia management, care of ventilated patients, central line management, blood product administration, IV vasopressors, PCA pump management, and reversal agents
• Experience with nerve blocks, epidural management, malignant hyperthermia protocol, and external ventricular drains preferred
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)

• Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date with no exceptions

• Former employees are eligible after 6 months away from the facility
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
