Direct Counsel is seeking an experienced and highly motivated  Personal Injury Intake Closer on behalf of a growing and successful plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in Los Angeles.

This is a high-impact, results-driven position for an experienced legal intake professional who knows how to turn qualified leads into signed clients .

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a plaintiff-side personal injury environment and a proven ability to build trust quickly, overcome objections, communicate the value of legal representation, and successfully close prospective clients.

This is not simply an administrative intake position. The firm is seeking a true closer who is competitive, persuasive, compassionate, and motivated by measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective personal injury clients.
• Conduct intake consultations with new leads by phone, text, email, and other communication channels.
• Evaluate and qualify prospective cases based on the firm's established criteria.
• Build immediate rapport and trust with prospective clients who may be dealing with injuries, financial concerns, and significant stress following an accident.
• Clearly and confidently communicate the firm's value proposition and representation process.
• Convert qualified leads into signed clients and executed retainer agreements.
• Consistently meet or exceed individual conversion and case-signing goals.
• Handle objections and concerns professionally and confidently while guiding prospective clients toward retaining the firm.
• Follow up persistently with qualified leads who have not yet signed.
• Maintain multiple follow-up touchpoints and ensure valuable leads do not fall through the cracks.
• Identify urgent, high-value, or complex matters and escalate them to attorneys or intake leadership when appropriate.
• Coordinate electronic retainer agreements and ensure required documents are completed accurately and promptly.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all communications, lead activity, follow-up efforts, and outcomes within the firm's CRM and/or case-management platform.
• Work closely with attorneys, intake leadership, case managers, and marketing personnel to ensure a seamless transition from prospective client to retained client.
• Provide feedback regarding lead quality, common objections, competitive issues, and opportunities to improve conversion.
• Maintain the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive client information.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of personal injury intake, legal sales, client acquisition, or closing experience required.
• Previous experience working within a plaintiff-side personal injury law firm strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to convert qualified leads into signed clients.
• Strong sales instincts and demonstrated success working toward measurable conversion goals.
• Exceptional telephone presence and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish credibility and trust quickly with prospective clients.
• Strong objection-handling, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Persistent and disciplined follow-up approach.
• Ability to create appropriate urgency while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume, metrics-driven environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using CRM, legal intake, call-tracking, or case-management software.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.

Compensation

Base Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually, depending on experience

In addition to base compensation, the position offers the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses and commissions.
