Field Marketing Representative

Job TitleA successful candidate will support an assigned territory in the US Central Time Zone and work anywhere within this region. This will include representing West Fraser wood products within the new home, multi-family, and commercial construction markets. They will serve as a technical resource and product representative in their territory while building relationships with key customers and supporting the execution of marketing plans for the assigned territory.Here's What You'll Do:Establishing, managing, and maintaining customer relationships by ensuring excellent service and follow-up and by learning and supporting the customers' businessSupporting the design and implementation of regional marketing programs with key pro-dealers, retail accounts, and builders that align with corporate sales and marketing objectivesPromoting new and existing products to contractor yards and buildersDeveloping product and program knowledge to support customers and internal teams in the marketplaceBuild and maintain relationships with key pro-dealers, retail accounts, builders, and industrial customersProvide responsive service, proactive follow-up, and continued learning about customer business modelsServe as a knowledgeable field representative and customer resource within the marketplacePartner closely with inside sales, sales management, and marketing teams to achieve revenue objectivesCollaborate with the outside marketing team and support staff to share information and coordinate territory activitiesProvide input to territory planning discussions and sales and marketing initiativesHere's What You'll Need:Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in a marketing, sales, construction, or building products roleTwo (2) to five (5) years of experience in a role related to home construction, building materials, sales, marketing, or a related fieldKnowledge of construction and building materialsSolid planning, organizational and time management skillsAbility to gather, summarize, and report observations on product usage, trends, and competitive activity within the assigned geographyExcellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skillsStrong technical aptitude and people skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointWhat Will Make You Stand Out:Engineering, Architectural, Building Science accreditationKnowledge of structural wood productsProficiency in reading construction documentsOutstanding benefits package including:Benefits starting Day 1Competitive starting payOn-the-job trainingA culture that strongly believes in promoting from withinMedical, Dental & Vision401K with company match and additional retirement contributionEmployee Stock Purchase PlanLife InsuranceDisability InsurancePaid vacations and holidaysWest Fraser is a diversified wood products company producing lumber, OSB, LVL, MDF, plywood, pulp, newsprint, wood chips, and energy with over 60 facilities in Canada, the United States, and Europe.
