Pipe Stress Engineer

Pipe Stress Engineer Jacobs is seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer to execute engineering tasks for industrial and commercial facilities. In this role you will manage project schedule, ensure technical quality, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems. Key Responsibilities Accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering projects. Perform pipe stress analysis and support design. Use AutoPIPE and Caesar II for pipe stress analysis. Apply finite element analysis tools such as FE‑Pipe and NozzlePro. Interpret and apply piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API). Communicate progress and findings verbally and in written reports. Collaborate effectively with cross‑disciplinary teams. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience. At least 2 years of experience in pipe stress analysis and support design. Engineer in Training (EIT) certification. Proficiency in pipe stress analysis software such as AutoPIPE and Caesar II. Proficiency with finite element analysis (FEA) and associated software such as FE‑Pipe and NozzlePro. Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API). Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Additional Requirements Professional Engineer (PE) license. Advanced experience with AutoPIPE. Knowledge of plastic pipe design and analysis. Experience with design tools such as Navisworks and AutoCAD. Forward‑thinking mindset and eagerness to learn best practices. Demonstrated ability to learn rapidly and broaden knowledge base. Pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and education or training.
