Radiology Coordinator

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Radiology Coordinator, you will help physicians and healthcare providers assess, diagnose, and treat patients so they can provide timely and accurate medical care. Every day you will operate specialized diagnostic imaging equipment to produce high-quality images. You will be expected to exercise professional judgment, maintain ethical standards, and ensure the safety and privacy of patient health information. To be successful in this role, you must possess strong critical thinking skills and the technical proficiency to perform complex imaging procedures with little supervision. Patient Assessment & Preparation: Evaluates patient ability, obtains medical histories, provides clear procedure explanations, and secures informed consent prior to all exams Procedural Assistance & Sterile Technique: Assists physicians with interventional procedures (biopsies, aspirations, etc.) while strictly adhering to aseptic, sterile, and universal precautions Technical Excellence & Radiation Safety: Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors while maintaining rigorous adherence to ALARA, 'Image Gently,' 'Image Wisely,' and facility-specific radiation/MR safety standards Quality Assurance & Image Evaluation: Performs ongoing assessment of image quality and equipment functionality, ensuring all outputs meet diagnostic standards and reporting any discrepancies to management Operational Readiness & Supply Management: Conducts daily equipment checks, performs required quality testing, verifies supply integrity (checking for expiration dates), and utilizes incident reporting systems for any malfunctions or safety concerns Regulatory Compliance & Professional Standards: Maintains active knowledge of and participation in ACR accreditation, CMS, Joint Commission, and MQSA requirements to ensure full alignment with institutional quality improvement and safety initiatives Job Requirements Required Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing BLS required upon hire/ within 480 hours of employment and meets recertification as required ARRT Board Certified in Radiology. Must hold a valid Medical Radiography or General Radiology Technologist Permit to Practice license in ND depending on work state OR Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state Understands methods and is capable of performing venipunctures as required for position Where You'll Work Since 1885, CHI St. Alexius Health has been dedicated to leading health care in this region by enriching the lives of patients through the highest quality of care.
