Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Travel, located in Saranac Lake, New York. Start date 08/10/2026 with a 4-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,101–$2,174 per week. Shift: 4x10-hour days (0600–1630). This is a travel, temporary assignment on a hospital unit. The role requires a current New York RN license and renal dialysis experience; the assignment focuses on renal/ nephrology care within a medical-surgical setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care on the Med Surg/renal nursing focus, including perioperative and post-procedure support as needed
- Manage renal dialysis responsibilities: monitor patients, troubleshoot access devices, and collaborate with nephrology when required
- Assess, document, and communicate patient status; administer medications per physician orders following evidence-based protocols
- Monitor vital signs, fluid balance, electrolytes, and patient responses; escalate concerns to the interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with charge nurses, unit staff, and physicians to coordinate patient flow and ensure safety and comfort
- Educate patients and families about treatments, procedures, and discharge planning as appropriate

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand
- 2+ years of RN nursing experience
- Renal dialysis experience required; must be competent in renal dialysis procedures
- Travel experience preferred
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts; schedule 0600–1630
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively on a medical-surgical unit with renal dialysis responsibilities
