This is a neuro unit. Required skills/certs/exp: Minimum years of experience: 2 years minimum experience required. Traveler experience: Unit will accept first-time travelers. Locals accepted/rate difference: Yes. Skills: Teamwork approach to patient care, focus on patient safety. Certs: ACLS and BLS. Preferred skills/certs/exp: NIH, neuro exp preferred, experience/willing to learn the charge nurse role preferred.

Job details: This is a neuro unit. Ratios: 1:6. Shift: Nights 18:45-7:15. 36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours. 13-26 weeks accepted. RTO: 7 days max for AYA auto offer. Float requirement: Yes, travelers float first. Weekend requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts (equates to every other weekend). Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a storm team and/or hurricane team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster. Consolidation to the centralized office mid-contract may occur, and the contract staff may be pre-assigned to units as needed.

Submission process: All units are utilizing Clinical for direct profile review. Submission details: Former Novant/New Hanover employees (PERM/PRN/EP) must wait 12 months before applying. Disclosure required (with hospital name/dates employed) at submission; facility approval needed. Current travel Per Diem clinicians aren't eligible for travel contracts they must choose one. Include status and intent in the submission. Local candidates (50 miles): Lower rate applies. RTO: Up to 7 days auto approved (no holidays). Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. No RTO during first week. All RTO must be pre-approved. Cannot request additional RTO after signing. NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal.
