RN - Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Position Summary Registered Nurse (RN) working in the Free‑Standing Emergency Department at Mount Carmel Lewis Center. Work Schedule Nights, 3×12‑hour shifts per week (7:00 pm – 7:30 am) with every third weekend and rotating holidays. Responsibilities Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence‑based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibits professionalism within the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® model. Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence‑based practice. Collaborates with patients and families to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual, and educational components. Accurately communicates pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner, keeping patients/families apprised and updated. Documents accurately and completely assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assumes responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers as appropriate. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing school. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. For casual RNs, 2 years of experience is required. New graduate nurses with less than one (1) year of clinical experience will be enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
