School Nurse LPN 1:1

A great school in the Jackson, GA area has a full-time School Nurse (LPN) opening for next school year, starting in early August (or last week in July).

This is a 1:1 School Nursing position working with a student throughout the school day, Monday - Friday. This role involves riding the bus/van with the student each day to school and back. Transportation time is paid.

37.5 - 40 hours/week

Other Key Responsibilities of the School Nurse (LPN):

• Physical assessment and direct clinical care.
• Provides First aid treatment for students and staff.
• Trains school personnel on First Aid, CPR, and the use of the AED.
• Dispenses medication.
• Manages electronic and paper health records.
• Assumes responsibility for the referral of students in need of medical care
• Implements DoH (Department of Health) policies and protocols.

Key Requirements of the School Nurse (LPN):

• Valid or eligible to receive GA Nursing license
• First Aid and CPR certified
• Must have good organizational skills coupled with good interpersonal skills, show strong attention to detail, be eager to learn new skills, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and demonstrate proficiency with computers. Successful candidates must also be compassionate, have ability to prioritize and multitask, and be able to maintain strict confidentiality of information.
