Plumbing Apprentice And Parts RunnerAs a Plumbing Apprentice and Parts Runner, you will assist experienced plumbers with various tasks while also serving as a vital resource for procuring and delivering parts and materials to job sites. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn, have a strong work ethic, and are willing to take on new challenges. No prior experience is required, but a willingness to learn and grow in the plumbing trade is essential.The key responsibilities include:Assist experienced plumbers by shadowing them to learn about plumbing techniques, tools, and procedures.Help with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.Learn to use plumbing equipment and tools safely and effectively under supervision.Receive parts and materials shipments and organize inventory in the warehouse.Prepare and pack materials for delivery to job sites according to work orders and project requirements.Load and unload delivery vehicles and transport materials to and from job sites in a timely manner.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and delivery vehicles.Assist plumbers with setting up and cleaning up job sites, including moving equipment and materials as needed.Provide support to plumbers during installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to expand knowledge of plumbing principles and practices.Seek guidance and feedback from experienced plumbers to enhance skills and performance.Take initiative to learn and improve, demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional growth.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.No prior experience required; willingness to learn and develop skills in the plumbing trade.Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if responsible for parts delivery).At Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Virginia Beach, we value hard work, dedication, and a passion for learning.
