Role Description The Art Teacher is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Colorado Springs Area within School District 49. This role is responsible for planning and delivering engaging art lessons aligned with district curriculum and standards for diverse learners. The Art Teacher designs and implements instruction in multiple media (such as drawing, painting, and mixed media), demonstrates techniques, and guides students in developing creative and critical thinking skills. Daily responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, managing a safe and inclusive classroom environment, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records. The Art Teacher collaborates with colleagues and families, participates in professional development, and contributes to school-wide activities that support student success and a positive school culture. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Teaching and Art Education, with the ability to engage and support students of varied backgrounds and abilities. Experience with Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development that aligns with educational standards and supports differentiated instruction. Proficiency in Painting and other visual art techniques, with the ability to model and explain artistic processes clearly. Relevant teaching licensure or certification in Art or a related field, in accordance with Colorado state requirements. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Art Education, Fine Arts, Education, or a closely related discipline. Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills, with a commitment to inclusive, student-centered learning. Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and families, and to participate in ongoing professional development. Experience integrating technology into instruction and familiarity with assessing student learning through a variety of methods. #J-18808-Ljbffr
