License: Registered in vascular technology. Registered in echocardiography.

Certifications: BLS ARDMS-RVT or CCI-RVS ARDMS-AE or ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCS

Must-Have: Dual certification in echocardiography and vascular technology is required. 1 year of experience with EPIC.

Description: Candidates must be registered in vascular technology and echocardiography. Certification in BLS is also required. Dual certification is a prerequisite as specified by the hiring manager. Candidates should not be submitted if they are not dual certified. The position requires working on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. There is no on-call requirement for this position. Candidates must have experience in 2-D Echo, adult acute care, and bubble study. Knowledge of color Doppler, diastology, and imaging with contrast agents is essential. Competence in performing routine echocardiograms is expected. The echocardiography tech will conduct portable studies and utilize M-Mode techniques. Familiarity with isolation precautions and PPE usage is necessary. Understanding of LV strain and volume assessment is required. The candidate must be proficient in assessing the right ventricular inflow and outflow tracts. Experience with Phillips equipment is preferred. Candidates must have graduated from a formal sonography program. Clinical rotations during a formal educational program may count as related experience. In lieu of educational requirements, five years of dedicated cardiovascular lab experience may be considered. Traveling staff must be willing to float to other units if required. All assignments entail compliance with necessary qualifications and competencies.
