Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

Position Title: LPN (Internal Medicine) Facility: Barnabas Health Medical Group Location: 1072 Valley Road, Stirling, NJ 07980 Department: Associate in Internal Medicine Shift: Day Pay Range: $29.26 - $36.32 per hour Job Overview The LPN of Associates in Internal Medicine will assist the Physician, Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) in various aspects of medical treatment and testing. LPN maintains exam rooms and equipment, assures an orderly flow of patients, is part of the patient care team, and reports safety issues. Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED Minimum 2 years' experience Must be able to perform manual vitals, administer injections, and perform POC testing Certifications and Licenses Required Licensed Practical Nurse Certification Valid NJ state licensure BLS Certification approved by the American Heart Association Scheduling Requirements Shift working: 9:00am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday 1-2 Saturdays per month: 9:00am - 3:00pm (one day off in that week) Full-Time Occasional coverage in Florham Park, NJ Essential Functions Communicates with insurance providers and handles pre-authorizations and certifications as necessary Communicates with patients and other providers per the instruction of the overseeing physician or health practitioner Creates and maintains health record information, files and organizes as needed Performs clinical tasks such as blood draws, EKGs, hearing and vision screens, urinalysis, injections, vaccinations, medication administration, treatments and minor surgeries as needed Prepares rooms, arranges instruments and equipment, ensures a neat and sanitary environment Rooms patients, verifies patient information, confirms the purpose of the visit, obtains and records vitals, updates medical history Supports practice needs with clerical tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting co‑paying lab requests, and other clerical tasks as assigned Other duties as assigned Other Things to Know This job description outlines the core responsibilities of the role, but it may shift over time based on team needs and priorities.
