Job Summary and Qualifications The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. The nurse utilizes therapeutic communication, maintains a safe therapeutic environment, identifies nursing problems related to individual patient needs, plans individualized patient care, participates in performance improvement activities, and coordinates participation that fosters the hospital’s mission and vision. In the charge nurse role, the nurse ensures the delivery of quality patient care, makes staff assignments, serves as a role model and clinical resource, and responds promptly to requests for information or follow‑up with physicians, staff, or patients. Qualifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Registered Nurse: Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree required. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. TriStar Skyline Medical Center is a 250‑bed facility.
