About the Position

Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Acute Care Client Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of Acute Care experience License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: EPIC experience Description: The position is for a Physical Therapist in an acute care setting. Work schedule is Tuesday to Saturday with variable hours. Weekday hours may be from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM or 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Weekend hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Float to other facilities may be required. Availability during major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year is preferred. No work is required on the holidays themselves. Acute care experience is necessary, and first-timers can apply if they have relevant background. No on-call duty is required for this position. A minimum of one weekend shift per week is expected. References from authority figures dated within the past year are needed. Candidates must be compliant with vaccine requirements for flu and COVID-19, with exemptions available for medical or religious reasons. Candidates must be able to manage and assess a patient ratio of 7-9. Charting experience in EPIC is essential. Position includes working with a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily patient census may reach up to 50. The role involves evaluating and treating various diagnoses, including orthopedic, neurologic, and general medical conditions. Additional responsibilities may include patient education and the use of adaptive devices. Special equipment for patient handling will be utilized frequently.
