Computed Tomography Technologist - 28493 Ada, OK | Health | Full Time Posted 6 days ago | Apply before June 2, 2026 Description We are currently looking for a Full Time Computed Tomography Technologist to join our X-Ray and Computed Tomography team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center. Summary Provides CT and CT angiography (CTA) examinations to all ages of patients and contributes to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring the quality and continuity of patient care. Responsibilities Performs peripheral and visceral/abdominal systems, extremities, CT angiography, including spine, head and neck studies Explains exams to patients and/or caregiver so that patients/caregiver understands what is to be done as well as what hazards, if any, are possible Properly identifies patient images, confirms patient identity by verbally confirming patient name and birth date Follows imaging studies through PACS network to ensure proper delivery of images to interpreting providers Maintains records and files for exams performed on patients, this includes the editing of patient exams Practices radiation safety in order to reduce exposure to patients, staff and self and utilizes lead aprons, lead gloves, lead shields, lead lined walls and collimation Prepares contrast materials that are used in CT/angiography and other exams and is trained to insert IV needles for administration of contrast material when necessary Prioritizes scheduled patients as well as the ability to accommodate the emergency patient who may need immediate emergency surgery, etc. Informs radiologists or referring physicians of examination results and notifies them of scans requiring their immediate attention Confers with radiologists or referring physicians to determine requirement of non-standard exams and determines technical factors, positioning, number and thickness of scans, etc. May also cover in general X-Ray as needed Stocks and inventories supplies and related materials Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment Maintains and promotes professionalism Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies Able to follow instructions, both written and oral Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines Knowledge of relevant privacy regulations such as The Privacy Act, Freedom of Information Act and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management Experience Nonessential: 1 year directly related experience Education Associate’s Degree in directly related field Completed an accredited radiologic technology program Credentials Radiologic Technologist Basic Cardiac Life Support Pass general background check Must be ARRT eligible as a CT Technologist and ARRT registered as a General Radiologic Technologist Working Conditions Works in a hospital or clinic environment Potential exposure to radiation Potential exposure to biohazards Potential exposure to contagious diseases Sitting up to 100% of shift Standing up to 100% of shift Walking up to 50% of shift Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach Sometimes assist with lifting patients Lead apron Pass pre-employment drug test Training It is the responsibility of each employee to attend required training for their position or profession as determined by their line of support (LOS) or the leadership of the Chickasaw Nation.
