Average pay: $1,160-$1,425 weekly

Home time: Every other week

Experience: All CDL holders

Overview

• Haul 75% non-hazardous freight in tanker trailers.
• Get home for three days every other weekend.
• 3-5 loads per week.

Pay and bonus potential

• Pay recently increased by up to $.04 per mile.
• Mileage pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
• Weekly performance pay.
• Earn up to $0.03 more per mile by obtaining additional CDL certifications.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Tanker endorsement required at time of hire.
• HazMat endorsement required within 90 days of hire — Schneider's self-paced online certification training will help you secure it.
• TWIC card required after hire.
• Live within 150 miles of Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC or Savannah, GA.
