Project Engineer

Project EngineerBraun Intertec is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Building Sciences group in the Grapevine office.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships, including project and non-project related face-to-face meetingsLeadership of a technical or project related teamPrepare proposals for moderate to complex projectsDevelop and execute whole scopes, and prepare engineering reports giving professional opinions and practical structural engineering solutionsManage projects (scope, schedule, budget)Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standardsMentor junior level engineering staffUnderstand and work in compliance with corporate health and safety policiesAssist in the review of analysis of building component failures and third party review of construction documents and specifications for building envelope components.Support (either directing or on occasion assist) with field testing, as needed, including window water spray testing, blower door testing, thermographic (infrared) inspections and waterproofing/air barrier testing/inspections.Required Skills:Driven for successAttention to detail and multi taskingHighly organized and ability to prioritize workStrong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work both independently and as a team memberAbility to create, maintain, and communicate project budgetsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent problem solving skillsComputer proficiency. AutoCAD, STAADPro or RISA 3D, other experience with structural analysis software; Bluebeam.Ability to walk through a project or jobsite, stoop, kneel, crawl, reach, carry, touch and climb. This can be in a combination of tightly enclosed areas, or on ladders, lifts and scaffolding.
