This is a Part Time position located in Bethel, ME. Summary Job Description We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Server Assistant/ Busser to join our team at The Millbrook Tavern at Bethel Resort and Suites. This is a Part Time position located in Bethel, ME. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding our high standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and service. Work Performed As a Server Assistant/ Busser, you will be responsible for ensuring that the dining room, lobby, and service area are clean, stocked and visually appealing. The right person for this Busser position will be a team player throughout the restaurant by assisting Servers in properly serving food and beverages while also clearing, cleaning and resetting tables for the next guests. Clear plates, glasses, cutlery, and trash from tables once guests have left Communicate with servers and managers regarding availability of tables, seating of large parties, or special requests made by our guests Reset tables for next guests and take out trash as needed Respond promptly to guest requests and alert servers or supervisors of any special needs or concerns Assist with running food/drinks, if needed Has knowledge of table numbers to run food and drink Ensure all areas of the front of house areas are clean and properly sanitized Perform duties as outlined in the training procedures, following standard operating procedures Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management Responsibilities include clearing and resetting tables, maintaining dining room cleanliness, assisting servers, running food and helping ensure smooth and efficient guest service. Requirements Skill and coordination when using hands to write, pour, and carry several drinks, plates, and bowls at the same time Looking for reliable, energetic team members to support our Tavern service team. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, stay organized, and work well as part of a team. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is preferred. Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment while on your feet for 4-8 hours Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Possess good communication and organizational skills to work with a team High school education or equivalent experience Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation Lifting up to 50 lbs. limited/Pushing up to 50 lbs Must be able to work independently Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays Must be able to work onsite at the hotel location Hours required: Part Time 20 hours per week for shifts Afternoon (PM); Evening; Weekends/ Holidays Proficiency in the English language Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities Second language is a plus, preferably Spanish or French Compensation $15.10 Hourly + Server tip out (every shift) Optional 401k with employer match Employee discounts at participating hotels Option to sign up for on-demand pay with DailyPay Refer a friend – get paid extra when they join our team!
