Pediatric IV Therapy Registered Nurse

The position requires expertise in ultrasound-guided vascular access. Candidates must have experience with pediatric patients. Candidates should have experience in areas such as Hematology/Oncology and ICU. Skills in IV placement are required. The role involves caring for both pediatric and adult populations. The successful candidate must be proficient in inserting peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC) and peripheral IVs. Experience with implanted vascular access devices and patency assessment is necessary. Candidates should be knowledgeable in site and vessel selection and evaluation. The role includes monitoring IVs and making recommendations on the type of IV that should be used. Candidates must learn and adhere to facility policies and procedures. The unit primarily serves patients with veins that are difficult to access. Specialized ultrasound equipment will be used for a significant portion of IV insertions. The candidate must be quick and efficient with IV insertion procedures. Flexibility to work on weekends is required.

Minimum of 2 Years Pediatric Vascular Access Experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS
