Position Description

As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for supporting concrete operations by performing skilled carpentry duties related to the layout, forming, bracing, and stripping of concrete structures and floor slabs. This position requires practical knowledge of concrete construction methods, the ability to follow instructions accurately, and a commitment to producing quality work while maintaining a safe and productive jobsite. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Perform carpentry duties related to concrete construction, including layout, forming, bracing, and stripping of forms, following provided plans and instructions.
• Assist with setting grades, elevations, and alignment for concrete placement.
• Assist with preparing work areas and forms for concrete placement.
• Maintain quality standards while completing work within established timelines.
• Safely operate and utilize hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in concrete construction.
• Maintain, organize, and properly use tools, equipment, and materials.
• Work collaboratively with crew members, finishers, foremen, and supervisors to complete assigned tasks.
• Identify and report jobsite issues, material needs, or safety concerns to supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.

Position Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a skilled laborer or carpenter in concrete construction.
• Demonstrated knowledge of carpentry techniques related to concrete forming and flatwork.
• Ability to follow instructions, plans, and jobsite direction effectively.

Physical Requirements:

• Tasks may involve standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, or working at various heights as required by project activities.
• Work may require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling tools, materials, or equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Work may involve working indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Work may require the ability to safely access and navigate active construction jobsites.
• Work may involve exposure to dust, noise, wet or uneven surfaces, and other conditions common to concrete construction.
