Electrical Engineer IAs an Electrical Engineer I here at Honeywell, the Electrical & Instrumentation Engineers will join the Controls Engineering Team. The E & I Engineer will be responsible for all electrical and instrumentation on our pump and compressor production orders. These engineered-to-order systems are installed in refineries, petrochemical plants, and power stations throughout the world. You'll report directly to Sr Electrical Eng Manager.This position is based in Arvada, Colorado, USA.Key ResponsibilitiesPerforms basic instrumentation and control system engineering tasks and calculations with minimal direction and supervisionPerforms specification researchAssists in development of technical documentsAssists in the development of P&ID's and associated I/ODesign of Junction boxes and control panelsDevelop PLC programs, HMI configurations, control system design and control system networksFAT & panel test and verification (individually and customer witnessed)Works as part of a team on design projectsDevelop and improve technical knowledge and skillsSupport and lead Continuous Improvement projectsMaintain professionalism in relationships with internal and external customersPlan needed communications and how to present the information effectivelyWorking knowledge of NFPA70(NEC), IEC, IECEx, ATEX, CSA, ISA and UL standardsSeeks out company and client technical standards and implements them on projectsSome travel to customer sites; kickoff meetings, design reviews, HAZOP analysis, field supportKnowledge of rotating equipment (emphasis on compressors)QualificationsYOU MUST HAVEBachelor's Degree in STEM (or equivalent)2+ years of related experienceWE VALUEUnderstanding of basic P&ID diagramsCapable of configuration and specification of electrical systems and instrumentation for hazardous areasAbility to focus on details and meet project schedulesAbility to handle multiple concurrent projectsThe annual base salary range for this position is $72,000 - $90,000.
