RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Float pool position covering multiple units across three facilities: Boise, Meridian, and Nampa
• Weekend shifts as needed
• Holiday coverage when there is a need
• Float to ER, ICU, MedSurg, Tele, L&D/PP, and NICU units based on specialty
• Will only float within your specialty area, never to lower acuity units
• Can float mid-shift to different units and facilities as needed
• Travelers are first to float when staffing needs arise
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: ER 1:4, ICU 1:1-2, MedSurg 1:5, Tele 1:4, Peds 1:3, NICU 1:4
• Required to titrate drips in ICU, ER, Tele, MedSurg, and PICU
• Must read and interpret telemetry/monitors in ICU, ER, Tele, and PICU
• Use mobile app to receive unit assignments one hour before shift starts
• All hospitals are approximately 20 minutes apart with safe parking available
• No self-scheduling; block scheduling attempted but not guaranteed
• No call or standby requirements
• 2 years experience in specialty required plus previous travel experience
• Antepartum and mother baby experience highly preferred for L&D assignments
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• TNCC required for ED assignments
• Clean and professional scrubs required (no specific color)
• 3 shifts of inpatient orientation plus meet and greet on day one
• EPIC charting system
• BSN not required
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius from facility

This healthcare system operates three major medical facilities providing comprehensive acute care services across the region. The organization features multiple specialized units including emergency departments, intensive care units, medical-surgical floors, telemetry units, labor and delivery, and neonatal intensive care units. The facility maintains a robust float pool system with dedicated leadership support including seven assistant managers with 24/7 on-call coverage to ensure quality patient care and staff support.
