Description

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and 5+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 3+ years managing product quality within a certified Quality Management System (ISO 9001, TS 16949, AS9100, etc.).
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Black Belt preferred.
• Strong experience with root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), DMAIC, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with quality systems, audits, FMEA, Control Plans, and statistical analysis tools.
• Experience supervising, coaching, training, and leading quality inspectors and QA staff.
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to design, manufacturing, assembly, materials, and process quality issues.
• Ability to use quality measurement and test equipment (micrometers, gauges, voltmeters, etc.).
• Advanced Excel, reporting, data analysis, technical writing, and communication skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with engineering, production, purchasing, sales, and other stakeholders.
• Automotive industry experience and experience supporting large OEM customers strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Proven leadership, organization, delegation, and time-management skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Merritt Island, FL.

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.65/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Merritt Island,FL.
