Job Requirements

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• At least 1 year of recent CVOR or operating room experience
• Ability to work day shifts and participate in call coverage
• Comfort floating to clinically appropriate units as needed within scope, licensure, and competencies
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room
• Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures
• Support surgeons and the perioperative team throughout CVOR cases
• Monitor patient status and maintain a safe, efficient operating room environment
• Participate in call coverage as scheduled
• Float to appropriate clinical units when needed and within competency
• Promote patient safety, infection control, and exceptional teamwork
