Overview Market leading healthcare organization looking for a Physician Assistant for a role in Orlando, FL area! Key Responsibilities Interview, examine, and diagnose patients during routine check‑ups and for injuries and illnesses. Order appropriate diagnostic tests, interpret results, and communicate treatment options; refer patients to specialists when necessary. Review and maintain patients’ records and medical histories, recording progress in a timely manner. Perform minor surgical procedures such as wound care, suturing, joint aspirations, injections, and administer immunizations. Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens; discuss side effects and ensure allergy information is up‑to‑date. Provide education and counseling to patients and families to improve health or address current issues. Accurately record correct healthcare diagnoses to ensure correct billing. Order or assist in ordering medical supplies and equipment. Stay current on the latest medical research, practices, and procedures impacting family medicine. Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives; uphold quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws. Complete administrative assignments as requested by the Medical Director and partner with other providers to ensure a collaborative environment. Actively participate in monthly provider team meetings and performance reviews with the Medical Director. Qualifications Fully state‑licensed as a Physician Assistant (PA). Basic Life Support certification (BLS). EMR experience. At least 1 year of experience as a PA working as a primary care provider in an outpatient office setting. Value Based Care (VBC) experience (focus on population health, preventative medicine, data‑driven interventions, and care coordination). Preferred Fully bilingual (English/Spanish). eClinicalWorks experience. Managed Care experience. Shift M-F 8:30am-5:30pm.
