Technology Teacher
Niagara Academy- Sanborn, New York Job Description: The individual will teach a variety of courses, predominantly in the area of woodshop, to students who are at-risk and in programs of special education or alternative education. The individual must have knowledge of tools and machinery and have the ability to teach safety and skills around those tools and machinery. The individual will coordinate and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and goals, and participate in team meetings and group collaboration regarding student needs. The individual must possess strong behavior management skills. The individual must have ability to work in a collaborative culture and be a teacher leader. The individual must have or be eligible for appropriate teaching certification upon hire. It is anticipated that an individual with industry experience would qualify for certification with successful completion of three workshops and an examination (if applicable). Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change.
Requirement : New York State Certification
Anticipated Salary: $54,000-$92,000 commensurate with experience; excellent benefits package.
