Assistant Store Manager

Through its check‑cashing stores, PLS offers consumers convenient financial products and services to help them manage their day‑to‑day financial needs. Position Overview Assistant Store Managers provide leadership to ensure the store delivers outstanding customer service, meets all operating objectives and financial goals, and follows company policies and procedures. The Assistant Manager performs all the duties of a Customer Service Representative and assists the Store Manager with day‑to‑day operations, stepping in as needed to direct all team members. Job Responsibilities Maintain exemplary customer service and build relationships with customers to encourage repeat business. Establish a strong customer‑service culture within the store. Assist the Store Manager in implementing strategies that help meet store goals and objectives. Recruit, develop, and motivate store team members to exceed customer expectations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Supervise CSR activities in the absence of the Store Manager, including transaction processing, cash drawer maintenance, and cash handling procedures. Analyze financial statements and trends to increase and maximize sales. Market within the community to increase market share and store revenues. Resolve customer complaints to improve customer satisfaction. Assist the Store Manager with managing schedule, cash, and store audits. Review all Operations Bulletins, News communications, and training to ensure understanding of current policies, procedures, and any changes. Help maintain a neat and clean store environment for customers and team members. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Minimum of one year of management experience in hospitality, financial services, retail, or restaurant industries. Ability, willingness, and confidence to engage with customers. Ability to develop positive relationships with customers. Strong desire to exceed company initiatives and inspire excellence in a team. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Integrity and honesty. Flexible work schedule, including early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays. English fluency required. English/Spanish bilingual a plus. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. with little assistance. Must be able to work in restrictive spaces and maintain concentration in a busy environment with moderate to high noise levels. Must manage several tasks at one time and handle frequent interruptions to meet customer needs.
