We are partnering with an established upscale Italian restaurant in the South Sound to find an experienced Director of Hospitality to join their leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who genuinely enjoys being on the floor, developing teams, connecting with guests, and creating a consistently exceptional dining experience.

This is not a behind-the-desk management position . Approximately 90–95% of this role is spent on the floor during service , actively leading the team, interacting with guests, and supporting restaurant operations.

What You'll Do

Lead the Guest Experience

• Oversee front-of-house service, cleanliness, and overall execution.
• Set the standard for warm, professional, guest-first hospitality.
• Manage reservations, special requests, front-desk operations, and guest flow.
• Maintain a strong leadership presence throughout service.
• Develop guest relationships that encourage loyalty and repeat business.

Develop & Lead the Team

• Hire and onboard front-of-house employees as needed.
• Train and develop servers, bartenders, bar-backs, hosts, and expos.
• Coordinate training schedules and monitor the development of new team members.
• Reinforce service standards, policies, and accountability.
• Mentor the team on wine, spirits, food, beverage, and service knowledge.
• Maintain and update training materials.

Support the Beverage Program

• Confidently assist with wine selections and recommendations.
• Partner with management on wine and cocktail offerings.
• Assist with product selection and sourcing for the beverage program.

Support Strong Restaurant Operations

• Oversee inventory of key operating supplies, including china, glassware, silverware, and paper goods.
• Review and authorize voids, promotions, and cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain accurate menu information within the POS.
• Manage reservations to maximize guest flow and restaurant capacity.
• Utilize POS reporting and support daily financial procedures.
