Description:
We are seeking a Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeon for call coverage.
Coverage is for call, and the locum will assist in the office/clinic setting.
Clinic hours are Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM.
Any hours for clinic and call back are billable at the call back rate.
Reason for need: A provider had a medical emergency and could not cover.
This position involves a full-service acute care hospital environment.
The practice caseload is 100% adult and hospital-based.
You will be the only physician in practice, with two mid-levels supporting you.
Onsite lab and x-ray services are available.
We utilize an EPIC documentation system.
Total number of beds is 250, with 60 ICU beds.
Required procedures include general cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries.
These procedures encompass coronary artery bypass surgery, congenital defect repairs, and valvular repairs/replacements.
Other surgeries include aneurysm repairs, lung resections, chest wall and pleural procedures, and esophagus/diaphragm surgeries.
Endarterectomy procedures and ventilation management will also be part of your responsibilities.
Candidates with experience in vascular surgery will be given higher priority but this is not a mandatory requirement.
Clean malpractice/background history is highly preferred.
The position requires availability for the specified dates.
