Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring that utility poles meet Koppers quality standers and customer specifications. Must have the ability to work well with others, have attention to detail, work in a safe manner, and be willing to work overtime when needed. Since this work is performed outdoors, inclement weather may impact the work schedules as well.Operate all equipment in a safe and appropriate mannerHandle material safely to prevent damage and breakage to productUse various hand tools to position and prepare the polesUse industrial drillsOperate chainsawsCut flat surfaces on the poles using a portable planerBrand customer information into the polesPerform minor maintenance on the tools and equipment to ensure proper performancePlace steel beams between layers of poles while being loaded into a dry kilnComplete various manual labor tasksFollow all safety regulations and requirements required for Zero Harm complianceOther work-related duties as requiredCandidate Qualifications/ RequirementsWilling to be hands on with physical productionMust be able to work in all outside weather conditions (wet, hot, cold)Must be able to lift up to 50lbsCandidate Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentKoppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
