Your Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments of patients, ordering necessary diagnostic tests and developing tailored care plans
• Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses in partnership with physicians or autonomously (as per credentialing)
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding prevention, wellness practices, and effective disease management
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies in alignment with your practice scope

Qualifications and Education

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Virginia
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the capability to obtain these within 90 days)
