Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 48-bed Medical Surgical unit managing common diagnoses including pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, and fall/weakness cases
• Titrate non-cardiac drips including heparin, bumex, and lasix as directed by physician orders
• Monitor patients on telemetry in coordination with dedicated monitor technicians; monitor respiratory equipment in collaboration with Respiratory Therapy staff
• Work within a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–7 on days, collaborating with charge nurses and patient care techs
• Float as needed to other Medical Surgical, MS-Tele, or IMC units for lower acuity patient assignments
• Follow unit dress code (navy blue scrubs) and complete a 2-day unit-specific orientation including computer systems and preceptored floor time

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (copy of unexpired driver's license required at time of submission; any licensing hits must be disclosed)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• Ability to titrate drips (non-cardiac); no cardiac drip titration required
• Flexibility to work rotating day/night schedules as assigned by unit manager, including every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers also considered
• Familiarity with Medical Surgical patient populations including GI, pulmonary, and withdrawal management
• CNA certification or willingness to complete PCT training if applicable
