Qualifications

• Current Washington State or Compact RN Licensure required.
• Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC are mandatory.
• Adherence to established policies and unit standards is essential.
• Compliance with the Washington Nurse Practice Act and relevant legal nursing aspects is required.

Job Functions

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care in a compassionate manner, utilizing the nursing process and specific practice standards.
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments effectively.
• Evaluate the appropriateness of discharge plans, considering educational needs and necessary modifications.
• Document care provided, including assessments, plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Collect and analyze patient data to ensure safe, high-quality care delivery.
• Conduct holistic ongoing assessments of patient status and respond effectively.
• Implement appropriate nursing actions to address the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of patients.
• Provide timely health education to patients, families, and significant others, including sharing written materials.
• Maintain a current knowledge base regarding workflows, processes, and evidence-based procedures.
• Delegate tasks effectively and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Participate in performance evaluation and improvement processes with supervisory staff.
• Collaborate and communicate with all members of the healthcare team.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff, consistent with policies and standards.

Additional Responsibilities

• Required to float as a sitter when necessary and may float in rotation.
