Systems AdministratorLocation: Onsite in either Denver, CO or Findlay, OH 4x1Contract Details: Ongoing contract - year to yearClient Details: Oil & Gas clientShift: StandardIV Process: 1 video round 30 minutes with clientPosition Summary: The Systems Administrator will work with a wide variety of network and operations related issues in a Microsoft/VMware Server Systems environment. The candidate will perform day-to-day management and application support of our Infrastructure Services environment, with an emphasis on administration and automation of our server/services monitoring system including VMWare VRealize Configuration Manger (VCM), PowerShell Scripting, and Microsoft Active Directory.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Deploy, upgrade and administer VMWare VRealize Configuration ManagerAbility to administer Active Directory group policy and other AD objects.Ability to create new custom packages and deploy them using PowerShell, and other packaging tools.Perform day-to-day management, deployment, server administration, and reporting using SCOM.Administration of VMware vSphere, Hyper-V and associated systems.Works closely with the other engineers on new technologies and translation of these technologies to the business community.Provides technical support to special projects coordinating across several IT departments and must manage several project related tasks at a time.Coordination of change testing and implementation in non-production and production environments.Document configurations and procedures that IT support staff can understand and follow.Job Qualifications:The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience.VMWare VRealize Configuration Manger (VCM) experience required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) experience is a plus.PowerShell Scripting experience required.Microsoft Active Directory experience is a plus.Solarwinds experience preferred.VMware vSphere experience preferred.Dell PowerEdge and/or HP hardware experience preferred.Cisco UCS Blade Server experience preferred.Microsoft Hyper-V experience preferred.NetApp storage administration experience preferred.ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
