Assistant General Manager – Bridgewater, NJ

A well-established, upscale restaurant in Bridgewater, NJ is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support daily operations and help lead a high-performing front-of-house team. Responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager with all day-to-day restaurant operations
• Lead and develop front-of-house staff while maintaining high service standards
• Assist with scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences and effectively resolve guest concerns
• Monitor sales, labor, and operating costs to support financial goals
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Help oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure operational consistency
• Work closely with the culinary and management teams to maintain smooth service
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and controlling food and beverage costs
• Help build a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of restaurant management experience
• Strong knowledge of front-of-house restaurant operations
• Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Hospitality-focused with a strong attention to detail
• Experience with upscale or polished-casual dining is preferred
