Local CDL Class A Truck Driver Location: Erwin, NC Schedule: Tuesday – Friday | 4:00 AM start (until route completion) Pay: $18.50 – $20.00 per hour Please note that this position could be short term. Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Local CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team. This position involves local deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely and accurate transportation of goods while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Key Responsibilities Operate company-owned and leased CDL Class A vehicles for local deliveries and pickups Ensure safe, timely, and accurate transportation of products Perform pre‑trip, in‑route, and post‑trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance Accurately complete delivery paperwork and logs in a timely manner Provide professional and courteous customer service during all deliveries Communicate any delivery issues, delays, or discrepancies to dispatch Operate material handling equipment (MHE) as needed Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and proper care of assigned equipment and vehicles Report to work on time and maintain consistent attendance Meet productivity and delivery goals efficiently Work overtime as needed (40+ hours per week) Qualifications Valid CDL Class A License (required) Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience High School Diploma or GED Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices Ability to safely operate and maintain equipment Must wear non‑slip steel toe boots Preferred Skills Experience with local delivery routes Familiarity with warehouse operations and MHE Strong attention to detail and time management Dependable with a strong work ethic Why Join Us?
