Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg 5E Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Schedule: Full-Time | 36 hours/week Shift: Night Shift | 7:00PM-7:30AM Sign-On Bonus Experienced Nurses: Up to $10,000 New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience): Up to $5,000 About the Unit Med Surg 5E provides care for a wide variety of adult medical patients. Respiratory infections This unit offers strong opportunities to develop and strengthen core clinical skills including patient assessment, time management, and complex care coordination. Nurses on 5E gain experience with medical patients who require frequent monitoring, thoughtful care planning, and multidisciplinary teamwork. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Education and Experience Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing Nursing Diploma Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations. Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.
