Sales Representative POR

Join a collaborative sales team at one of the largest signage distributors in North America and help grow our Portland market. You'll be the go-to person helping cities, contractors, and businesses get the essential products they need to operate. This is a hybrid role focused on phone-based selling with some in-person relationship building, all team-oriented. You'll work alongside teammates who share goals and wins together, with a mix of inside selling, customer visits, and consultative problem-solving. Job Description You'll spend your days on the phone and occasionally in person, helping contractors, cities, and businesses across the Portland metro get the sign and print supplies they can't run without. No cold-calling into the void — you're building a territory, and your team wins together, not against each other. This isn't a sink-or-swim commission gig. What a week actually looks like Working the phones to grow existing accounts and open new ones A handful of in-person visits to contractors and businesses in your territory (mileage covered) Product demos when a customer needs to see it to believe it Sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with teammates who are hitting the same goals you are — sharing what's working, not guarding it Qualifications What you bring 0–3 years in sales, customer service, or another customer-facing role You pick up the phone. You're not afraid of a \"no,\" and you know how to build rapport fast You want to be part of a team, not a lone wolf Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (we reimburse the mileage) No sign or print industry experience needed. We'll teach you the product. What we can't teach is grit and the ability to build trust quickly. Focused training time consisting of a mix of one-on-one training, virtual training, and shadowing. Training focuses on Grimco’s products, computer systems, phones/customers, sales/service, purchasing, logistics, web store, marketing, safety, accounting, human resources, and reports. Split between break-out sessions and hands-on learning environment. Rotation within departments for a diverse look at how employees approach tasks and achieve goals. Full-time salary includes training period. Travel accommodations and expenses provided per Grimco National Travel Policy. Training location determined by corporate/regional training team schedule.
