Capital Projects Manager

Job Description:

The Capital Projects Manager will lead the day-to-day organization and construction coordination for a $35 million manufacturing expansion at Southwest Cheese in Clovis, New Mexico.
Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate approximately 40 60 contractors
• Manage daily contractor activity, access, and orientation
• Maintain and update project drawing sets
• Coordinate drawing reviews across technical disciplines
• Update bills of material and equipment lists
• Lead meetings and document decisions and action items
• Track project deliverables and technical-team updates
• Prepare progress reports and executive-level updates
• Coordinate construction work inside an operating manufacturing facility
• Help keep project activity aligned with schedule, documentation, safety, and operational requirements

Required profile:

• Demonstrated project-management experience on major industrial or construction projects
• Experience coordinating large contractor populations
• Ability to independently organize complex project activity
• Strong documentation, reporting, meeting, and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to explain personal ownership and decisions on previous projects
• Willingness to relocate and work fully onsite in Clovis
• Ability to work approximately 40% of the time in a PPE-required construction environment

Preferred:

• PMP certification
• Dairy, food-and-beverage, or process-manufacturing experience
• Engineering background
• Experience with large, multimillion-dollar projects
