School Assistant

The School Assistant at The Goddard School plays a dynamic and essential role in supporting the overall operations of the school. This position encompasses both clerical and operational responsibilities, ensuring the school functions efficiently while maintaining a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environments for all students. Responsibilities may evolve based on the needs of the school. Any modifications or additions to this job description will be discussed with the School Assistant and school leadership team.

Responsibilities Clerical Support (including but not limited to):

• Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, take messages, and provide basic school information.
• Maintain and organize student files.
• Manage and distribute school supplies.

Operational Support (including but not limited to):

• Provide classroom coverage for teachers as needed (e.g., bathroom breaks, lunch breaks, and staff absences), as assigned by the Director or Operator.
• Track and prepare daily snacks for students.
• Organize and manage food deliveries for the school.
• Conduct and maintain daily playground inspections and organization

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
