Tele/PCU Registered Nurse
Location: Latrobe, Pennsylvania
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30); Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30), rotating shifts
Job Description: The Tele/PCU Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care in a telemetry and progressive care unit. The RN will manage patient care, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients' health status in a cardiac telemetry setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Manage patient care, including respiratory therapies and cardiac drips.
- Float within the hospital as needed to meet patient care requirements.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience in a telemetry or progressive care unit.
- Valid PA or Multi State/Compact RN license.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Experience with cardiac telemetry and PCU patient care.
