CNC Mill Machinist

Lead CNC Machinist Are you a master of the machine shop who thrives on technical variety and high-stakes precision? We are looking for a Lead CNC Machinist who brings more than just operational skills to the table. In this role, you won't just push buttons; you will be the architect of the production floor—reverse engineering complex parts, building custom fixtures, and mastering a powerhouse lineup of machinery including Tsugami, Okuma, Studer 5-Axis, and Kellenberger systems. We aren't looking for a "standard" operator. We need a problem-solver with a sharp eye for G-code, a deep understanding of engineering drawings, and at least 5 years of experience in high-precision environments. If you pride yourself on maintaining a flawless workspace and have the technical grit to tackle everything from intricate setup adjustments to full-scale production runs, we want to hear from you. salary: $67,000 - $83,000 per year shift: First work hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PM education: High School Responsibilities Sets up and operates CNC machines, performs machine functions on metal work pieces in a safe manner (Tsugami Mill, Okuma Lathe, Studer 5 Axis Grinder, Kellenberger CNC). Takes apart and reverse engineers parts. Measures dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures. Mounts, installs, aligns, and secures tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Stops machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequences. Monitors machine operation and control panel displays and compare readings to specifications in order to detect malfunctions. Records down time, maintains production records, and other data entry as needed. Provides timely and complete communication to all operational and functional teams regarding quality or mechanical issues. Makes adjustments to machines to maintain quality standards. Keeps tooling and machine area(s) clean throughout the shift and prepares machine area(s) for subsequent shift.
